St Michael School Shares Tribute To The Late Mr Gambin

Four Maltese people tragically lost their life in a car accident in Croatia on Thursday afternoon.
Among them was Mr. Gambin, a beloved teacher at St. Michael’s School, whose impact on the school spanned over two decades.
In a heartfelt tribute, St. Michael’s shared: “It is certainly not easy to put into words what our dear Mr. Gambin meant to the St. Michael community. For over 20 years, Mr. Gambin was one of the true pillars of our Sports Department – a teacher, mentor and father figure to so many of our students.”
The school remembered him as “the kind of educator who led with kindness, humility, and strength – always ready with a word of encouragement and a smile that lifted those around him. To his colleagues, he was a true gentleman and a dear friend, always generous with his support and wisdom, even after his retirement.”
St. Michael’s concluded by extending their condolences to all four victims of this tragedy: “May the Lord grant Mr. and Mrs. Gambin, and their dear friends Mr. and Mrs. Bonnici – all beloved grandparents within our school community – eternal rest and peace.”
The school emphasised that Mr Gambin’s legacy will endure in the lessons he imparted and the community he helped shape, leaving a lasting mark on students, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
