St Paul’s Missionary College placed the spotlight on creativity yesterday as its Junior School hosted its first-ever Creative Arts Day, an initiative designed to give the arts the same recognition traditionally reserved for sports.

The event marked an important step in highlighting the value of artistic expression within the school community, providing students with a platform to showcase their talents in both performing and visual arts.

Throughout the day, children took part in a series of hands-on workshops inspired by cultures from around the world, including Asian dragon-making and drumming, African kente patterns, and Latin American art forms.

The activities encouraged students to explore creativity while building confidence and collaboration skills.

Parents were also invited to take part, with the school coming alive through performances, artistic displays, and shared experiences.

The initiative reflects the College’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals, ensuring that students who excel in the arts are celebrated just as much as those who shine on the sports field.
