Speaker of the House Anġlu Farrugia Meets Pope Leo

The Speaker of Malta’s House of Representatives, Anġlu Farrugia, attended a General Audience of Pope Francis at the Vatican, in a visit highlighting close ties between Malta and the Holy See.
During the audience, Dr Farrugia took part in the traditional bacciomano, greeting the Pope and conveying the respect and goodwill of the Maltese Parliament and citizens.
Farrugia also held talks with His Eminence Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, focusing on shared priorities such as international cooperation, peace, and the promotion of common global values.
Dr Farrugia was accompanied by Ambassadors Joseph Cole and Frank Zammit as part of the official delegation.
