Son Shares Tribute To Parents Who Passed Away In Croatia Car Accident

The son of two of the victims who tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Croatia last Thursday has shared a moving tribute to his parents, expressing his grief and the depth of their loss.
“I tried to type a few words to honour my parents, but the words aren’t enough. Everyone who was lucky enough to meet them knows what I mean,” he wrote.
“I lost my superheroes. My heart is broken. I could write a book about you, but even that wouldn’t be enough. I love you, ma and pa. I already miss you terribly, and it’s only been a few hours.”
He added that the tragedy has affected not only himself but his “incredibly strong wife, my loving children, my sister, our family, and their many friends,” who have all lost a part of them. Yet, he emphasised their resilience: “We are strong together.”
Highlighting a small comfort amid the grief, he reflected on his parents’ last moments: “The only ray of light is that they were together, doing what they loved, with people they loved. Being positive in this time is hard, but if they deserved anything, it was to always be together, as they have been through it all.”
He also thanked the outpouring of support from friends and the public, calling it “a testament to their legacy” and saying he feels honoured by it.
