The Sliema Arts Festival returns from 17–19 July 2026, once again transforming Sliema's streets, promenade and beach into a vibrant open-air festival of art, music and creativity.

This year's festival is presented under the public campaign "By Humans, For Humans,” a celebration of creativity, connection and community in an age increasingly shaped by technology.

Developed under the artistic direction of Rachel Formosa, its curatorial framework, [Error 404]: Human Not Found_, invites artists and audiences to reflect on what it means to be human today through street art, murals, live painting, urban interventions, music and participatory practices.

Organised by the Sliema Local Council, the 2026 edition is developed under the artistic direction of Rachel Formosa, whose artistic vision positions Sliema's public spaces as sites for contemporary artistic intervention, creating new encounters between artists, place and community.

With more than 20,000 visitors expected during the height of the summer season, the Sliema Arts Festival promises three days of art, live music, artisan markets, workshops, family activities and creative experiences.

Through art, music and public participation, the festival celebrates the creativity, imagination and shared experiences that continue to shape life in public space: by humans, for humans.
