SIX ARRESTED IN MARSA FOLLOWING FRAUD AND MONEY LAUNDERING INVESTIGATION

Six individuals have been arrested in Marsa following months of investigations by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Department into alleged usury and money laundering.
The operation took place on Monday morning on Triq Stiefnu Zerafa and Triq is-Santissima Trinita, areas where the suspects are believed to have been operating. So far, police investigations have identified around 50 victims linked to the case.
During the raids, officers seized thousands of euros in cash, exotic animals, and other items considered relevant to the ongoing investigation.
The inquiry is being led by Magistrate Dr Joe Mifsud LL.D., while police investigations into the case are continuing.
