Servizz.gov centres across Malta are now offering extended opening hours, giving the public more flexibility and access to government services.

The announcement was made during a visit to the Servizz.gov Head Office in Mosta by Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works Chris Bonett, together with Principal Permanent Secretary Tony Sultana.

As from this week, all 25 Servizz.gov centres will open on Saturdays between 8:00am and 12:00pm. In addition, centres will continue to operate daily from 9:30am to 2:00pm, with each centre also remaining open until 6:00pm once a week.

Minister Bonett welcomed the changes, describing them as a step forward in making government services more accessible while helping to reduce traffic congestion.

He explained that the new hours are part of the Government’s Reshaping our Mobility plan, which aims to provide services considered non-essential at times that ease pressure on peak-hour travel.

“All this is part of a series of measures that we are implementing as a Government in this area,” stated Bonett, including increases in park and ride, investment in public transport and new sea routes.”

Tony Sultana, Head of Public Service, highlighted the significance of the move, noting that the extended opening hours will provide more than 450 additional hours of service every month. He explained that in an increasingly digital world, we are still committed to investing in these centres so that customers have full choice in how they access government services.

During the visit, Minister Bonett and Mr Sultana were welcomed by Servizz.gov Chief Executive Massimo Vella and toured the offices, where they met employees delivering frontline services to the public.
