Service Dog Sam Waits For Little Girl Ella To Finish Surgery

The Service Dogs Malta Foundation shared photos of Sam the service dog staying by his human, little Ella’s, side as she undergoes a small surgery at Mater Dei Hospital.

‘Through it all, Sam stays by her side, patiently waiting for her return’, wrote the foundation. ‘Our service dogs truly are priceless.’

After the Service Dogs Malta Foundation shared wholesome photos of dog Sam not abandoning his little human girl Ella’s side as she underwent surgery, Parliamentary Secretary for Animal Rights Alicia Bugeja Said met up with the family and the stars of the story.

‘To Ella, Sam is not just a dog’, wrote Bugeja Said. ‘He is her best friend.

It was explained that Sam graduated in February after he underwent training with the foundation. Sam played a pivotal role during the medical procedure, with Ella and Sam becoming inseparable.

Sam managed to bring down any emotional tantrums down to very few minutes as he calms Ella and provides a safe and loving space for her.
