Second Turtle Nest At Ramla Has Started To Hatch!

The Environment and Resources Authority has confirmed that the second turtle nest at Ramla Bay has begun to hatch.
Around 50 baby turtles have successfully hatched at Ramla l-Ħamra in Gozo, making their way to the sea over a span of 10 hours during the night.
Visitors to Ramla Bay are being urged to help protect the hatchlings by, keeping noise to a minimum, avoiding the use of bright lights near the nesting area and Following the guidance of on-site volunteers.
These measures are essential to ensure the safety and survival of the remaining hatchlings as they make their journey to the water.
