A satellite image shows the current development of the storm that is set to hit the Maltese islands.
There are currently thunder storms forming over the Gabes Gulf in Tunisia as the African storm makes its way upwards towards the Mediterranean.
The storm is expected to hit between today and tomorrow, with weather warnings issued for safety.
