Sarah Bonnici Premieres Debut Visual Album At Teatru Manoel

Singer-songwriter Sarah Bonnici premiered her highly anticipated visual album, ‘something i had to lose’, at Teatru Manoel on Monday evening, unveiling what she described as her most personal and artistically vulnerable project to date.

Blending music, storytelling and striking visuals, the album explores themes of vulnerability, healing, identity and self-acceptance through a continuous visual narrative.

Created over the past year, it marks a new chapter in Bonnici's artistic journey.

The premiere began with a screening of the visual album before audiences were surprised by Bonnici's appearance on stage alongside an orchestra to perform the bonus track, ‘My Own Muse.’

The live performance, recorded during the event, will feature exclusively on the album's vinyl release.

Addressing the audience afterwards, Bonnici said creating the project without fear of judgement allowed her to produce music that was "completely true" to herself.

The evening concluded with a standing ovation.
