‘And just like that Sam turned 6’, wrote Sarah Bajada, marking her son Sam’s birthday.
‘Sam’s birthday is always super emotional for me. It takes me back to a time where I had to pick up the pieces alone… show up for him even when I was exhausted, broken, and healing.’
‘And still, I created magic for him every single day. Today, I look back with pride. We’ve come so far, we’ve had so many adventures together and I’ve grown into the person I am thanks to him.’
Sarah’s partner, Nationalist Party leader Alex Borg also posted a heartfelt message.
‘I can’t believe how much you’re growing’, said Borg. ‘From a little boy to one full of energy and curiosity. Sam, you make every day better by simply being you. I love you a lot.’
