Sandro Grech Finally Arrives In Beijing For Lifesaving Cancer Treatment

Sandro Grech was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of leukaemia back in January 2023.

His only remaining chance of survival is a highly specialised CD7 CAR-T clinical trial available abroad which costs €500,000.

After a fundraiser which raised €250,000, the government pledged the rest for Sandro to receive lifesaving care in Beijing.

Unfortunately, once Sandro was set to make the trip, an issue arose with the air ambulance company that were requesting an extra €80,000.

Finally, Sandro has made it to Beijing and is set to start treatment soon.

“After all that we went through the past few days, the fact that we’re here is a miracle,” shared his wife on social media.

She proceeded to thank the public for everything they’ve down, stating that all of this would have been impossible without the support.
