Salini Road Floods Following Heavy Rainfall In Malta

Heavy rainfall across the Maltese Islands has caused flooding along Salini Road, as unsettled weather continues into Sunday.

Salini Road was among the areas affected by flooding following heavy showers that hit Malta over the weekend.

The rainfall caused water to accumulate along the road, adding to concerns over flooding in several localities across the country.

According to popular weather page It-Temp Madwarna, Saturday's thunderstorms affected around 90% of Malta, with Siġġiewi recording up to 30mm of rainfall.

Meanwhile, Maltese Islands Weather reported that Sunday's morning showers produced rainfall ranging from a trace in some areas to almost an inch in others.

Although conditions are expected to improve later today, further showers and strong winds are forecast for the coming week, with more rain expected between Monday and Tuesday.

Motorists travelling through flood-prone areas are urged to exercise caution, particularly during heavy downpours.
