Something big is coming to Valletta on Thursday 24th September, as St George’s Square hosts a completely free public event marking World Cancer Research Day.

Organised by the Cancer Research and Innovation Hub Malta (CRIHM), the event will bring the national Show Your Face / Uri Wiċċek campaign to life from 6pm, with a packed evening of music, activities and cancer awareness.

Headlining the night will be Jon & Jo from S Club, joined by American singer-songwriter and three-time cancer survivor Bianca Muniz, alongside a line-up of Maltese artists and hosted by Keane Cutajar and Valentina Rossi.

Owen Leuellen and Maxine Pace will also premiere “Tama”, an original song created specifically for the campaign, while DJ Tenishia and further live performances will keep the evening going.

Beyond the music, CRIHM is inviting the public to come together to create a giant human cancer awareness ribbon in the heart of Valletta, with the aim of establishing a national record and showing solidarity with everyone affected by cancer.

Cancer organisations and NGOs will be present, while CRIHM’s Mobile Unit will offer free health checks. Activities for children and families will also take place throughout the evening.

Entry is completely free, with the event kicking off from 6pm at St George’s Square, Valletta.
