Ryanair Flight? Malta Airport Adds Self-Service Bag Tag Stations
Local

Passengers travelling with Ryanair from Malta International Airport can now make use of new self-service bag tag stations, designed to simplify the luggage drop-off process before their flights.

Malta International Airport announced the introduction of the new stations through a social media post, explaining how passengers can prepare and print their own luggage tags before heading to the Bag Drop counter.

The new system allows travellers to use the Ryanair mobile app to complete the bag-tagging process themselves.

However, there are a few things passengers need to prepare before arriving at the stations.

Travellers must have the Ryanair app installed on their phones, be checked in for their flight, and ensure that both Bluetooth and Location services are switched on.

Once at the terminal, passengers simply need to scan the QR code at the station, follow the instructions on the Ryanair app, print their luggage tag and attach it to their bag.

They must then prepare their travel document for an identification check before proceeding to the Bag Drop counter.

The introduction of the stations offers passengers another way to prepare their luggage for check-in, potentially making the process smoother and more convenient.

Importantly, passengers will still need to visit the Bag Drop counter after tagging their luggage, meaning the new stations do not completely replace the traditional baggage drop-off process.

So, if you're flying with Ryanair anytime soon, make sure your phone is charged, your app is ready and you're checked in before heading to the airport!
