Ryanair Asks Whether It Should Charge Passengers €2 To Use The Toilet On Flights

Ryanair has once again got social media talking after asking followers whether it should start charging passengers €2 to use the toilet during flights.
The budget airline, known for its cheeky social media presence and additional charges for services such as baggage and seat selection, sparked a wave of hilarious reactions. One person jokingly suggested introducing different prices depending on what passengers needed the toilet for, commenting: “Pee = 1 euro // Poop = 2 Euros.”
Others were already coming up with creative ways to avoid paying.
“You can, I don't mind pissing in a bottle tbf,” one user commented. Another warned the airline: “You're going to find quite a few bottles of piss on the landing.” Meanwhile, someone even suggested introducing a loyalty scheme for frequent toilet users, asking: “How about every 10th toilet visit is free?”
Although the idea might sound ridiculous, it isn't the first time Ryanair has floated the possibility of charging passengers to use onboard toilets. Back in 2009, Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary discussed introducing toilet charges, although the proposal was never implemented. The airline has continued joking about the possibility over the years, with similar social media posts appearing in 2026.
For now, there is no confirmed €2 toilet charge, and the latest question appears to be another example of Ryanair's humorous approach to social media. But what do you think? Would you pay €2 to use the toilet on a Ryanair flight, or is this taking budget flying a little too far?
