Rosianne Cutajar Elected As Member Of Executive Of PES Women

Labour MP Rosianne Cutajar was elected as a member of the executive of PES Women. Cutajar was appointed in an election at the Congress of the Party of European Socialists and Democrats (PES) currently taking place in Amsterdam.
MP Cutajar said that she would use her political experience in Malta to push the principles of social justice and equality at European level. She added that she would like to contribute to giving citizens the chance to make their voice heard and see a better future with an improvement in people’s quality of life.
Rosianne Cutajar explained that with her work in the executive of PES Women she will strive to strengthen the voice and contribution of women in politics and decision-making by putting them at the heart of the European socialist movement.
Rosianne Cutajar started her political career in 2012 as Mayor of Qormi. In 2017, she was elected to Parliament and served as Parliamentary Secretary for Equality and Reforms.
This is the second time that the Labour Party is represented in the executive of PES Women, the first to be elected as a member was Claudette Abela Baldacchino, between 2008 and 2014.
