Roberta Metsola Releases Statement Supporting Alex Borg Ahead Of Election

Last night, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola released a statement in support of Alex Borg ahead of the upcoming general election on the 30th of May.

The early election was announced by Prime Minister Robert Abela yesterday at 7pm during an address to the nation.

President Metsola took to her social media to express her support for Opposition Leader Alex Borg, stating, ““We want our children to grow up in a country they love.”

She continued by explaining that Alex Borg will create a Malta where Maltese youth will be able to afford a home, will grow strong and with dignity, they can buy a store and develop it, where education offers new opportunities, and they feel part of society.

“Malta that can move forward with Alex Borg,” concluded Roberta Metsola.
