Roberta Metsola Pens Letter To Daphne After Yorgen Fenech Verdict

‘Dear Daphne’, wrote European Parliament President Roberta Metsola on social media.
‘These have been difficult days and hours for many, more so for your loved ones who have been through so much and who were forced to relive all the horror of that black October day’, she said.
‘When they assassinated you, in broad daylight, outside your family home, we promised that we would not let them sweep it under the carpet’, she continued.
‘We said we will keep going until those who planted the bomb, those who gave the order, those who spent years abusing our institutions to try to cover it up, and those whose corruption you exposed, face the consequences of their actions.’
‘It is the crooks who will keep losing sleep because they know that disbelief will give way not to helplessness or fatigue, but to renewed determination to find justice for the corruption that you died exposing. To ensure that those responsible are finally held accountable for their actions.’
‘Daphne, over the last nine years they did everything and used every resource available to bury your voice, but know that they failed.’
‘And know that nearly a decade after they stopped you writing, your pen is still mightier than all their swords combined.’
