Robert Micallef Identified As Worker Who Died After Forklift Accident

Robert Micallef has been identified as the 34 year old worker who died after being injured by a forklift in Naxxar yesterday.

The incident happened yesterday in Triq Burmarrad when Micallef was reportedly working and using the same forklift involved in the incident.

His tragic passing was received as a shock by many, with tributes immediately pouring in.

Sodalita San Sebastian, Drama Group San Sebastian, and Kimmisjoni Żgħażagħ Bastjaniżi all issued tributes to Robert, remembering his passion and dedication.

PN MP Jerome Caruana Cilia also issued a tribute, saying that the residents of Ħal Qormi are all in shock.

‘Me and Robert had been friends for years. We laughed and celebrated together. We discussed and I expected some back and forth from him. He had a very particular sense of humour’, he wrote.

He commended him for his dedication to San Bastjan, but mostly for his love for his family. ‘Deepest condolences to loved ones, especially to his wife Judith.’
