Robert Abela Proposes New Gozo Channel Fleet & Air Taxi Service

Announcing new INT MALTA proposals, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that a new Labour government would strengthen Gozo’s connectivity by more than 25%.
This would mean an investment for a new fleet for the Gozo Channel, introducing two new vessels, retrofitting the other three and the introduction of a cargo vessel.
Following completion of the airstrip, an air taxi service between the islands would be introduced, the PM said.
He pointed to fast ferry links having already increased, saying that it will continue to expand alongside improvements to the infrastructure at Mġarr and Marsalforn harbours.
The on-demand bus service will also be introduced in Gozo, the Prime Minister said.
