ROBERT ABELA HIGHLIGHTS ECONOMIC GROWTH AND TEAM COMPETENCE AT MOSTA POLITICAL EVENT

Speaking at a political activity in Mosta, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that the Partit Laburista has a competent team focused on continuing to generate national wealth and ensuring it is shared across Maltese and Gozitan society.

Abela said that the Labour Government’s approach is based on creating wealth and distributing it through policies that support opportunity and social mobility. He emphasised the importance of a strong economy, saying it enables equal opportunity for all, particularly through quality education, which he described as the key to social advancement and access to quality careers in Malta.

He added that the party’s vision for the next five years includes a wide range of proposals aimed at supporting people at every stage of life. These include initiatives for young people such as Kickstart schemes, support measures for SMEs, housing programmes like My First Home and Our Next Home, as well as guarantees for elderly people to live with dignity and policies aimed at advancing women.

Abela also referred to reforms in IVF services, stating that the government supports policies that help families grow, contrasting this with those who voted against such measures.

He insisted that delivering these proposals requires competence and experience, arguing that Malta’s strong economic performance must be managed by those who understand fiscal planning and economic forecasting.

“More than ever, credibility and competence are essential for the country to move forward,” Abela said, adding that his team is committed to improving quality of life and taking Malta to the next level.
