Robert Abela Discusses EU Budget Priorities With European Commissioners

At the Auberge de Castille, Prime Minister Robert Abela held a meeting with Malta's European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport, Glenn Micallef, and European Commissioner for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration, Piotr Serafin.

During the meeting, they discussed Malta's priorities and how the European Union's new budget can continue to support their implementation. It was emphasised that European investment should continue to deliver tangible benefits for citizens and improve their quality of life. The discussion also focused on how Europe can create more opportunities for people to develop their talents while increasing access to culture within local communities.

Also present for the meeting were Minister for the Economy, Technology and Strategic Projects Silvio Schembri, Minister for Finance Clyde Caruana, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Chris Fearne, Head of Secretariat within the Office of the Prime Minister Mark Mallia, and the Prime Minister's Adviser on European Affairs Leandro Borg.
