Robert Abela Confirms Malta Daily Ġbejna Tal-Bżar Twisters Is His Favourite

During a visit to Tastees Manufacturing Ltd. in Santa Venera, Prime Minister Robert Abela was asked which Twistees packet was his favourite.

And wouldn’t you know it, it turned out to be Malta Daily’s very own 5 Year Anniversary special: the Ġbejna tal-Bżar Twistees.

The limited edition Twistees were a collaboration between Malta Daily and the iconic Maltese snack, selling out off of local shelves in mere days.

And it turns out the Prime Minister was one of the biggest fan of the release! He also revealed he enjoyed the Minty Twistees, which released earlier in 2025.

This came as part of a visit to the company alongside Minister for Economy and Enterprise Silvio Schembri.

Tastees Manufacturing Ltd. was founded in 1969, and remains a renowned name in Malta given their iconic Twistees snack and other releases.

Over the past five years, the production of this company increased by 103%. Abela was given a tour of the ongoing works on the premises, and he praised the resilience and innovation of the company.
