ROBERT ABELA ANNOUNCES SAN NIKLAW AFFORESTATION PROJECT IN SIĠĠIEWI

During a press event, Prime Minister Robert Abela confirmed that a major afforestation project in the San Niklaw area of Siġġiewi will be completed if Labour wins the upcoming general election.

The project will cover an area of around 100,000m², transforming a site that previously contained two disused quarries. According to Abela, the area will be regenerated into a green space featuring hundreds of mature trees, walking paths, and benches for visitors to enjoy.

The initiative forms part of wider environmental and recreational plans aimed at improving public open spaces and increasing greenery within the locality. If implemented, the project is expected to turn the former industrial site into a landscaped woodland area accessible to the public.
