RIDE SAFE WITH BOLT: FOUR ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR EVERY JOURNEY

Safety is at the heart of every Bolt ride. Whether you are commuting to work or heading out for an evening, Bolt ensures your journey is supported at every step. Here are four key tips to help you stay safe and confident on the road.
1. Verify your driver and vehicle
Before stepping into the car, check that the make, model, and registration number match what is in the Bolt app. Confirm the driver’s name and photo as well. If anything does not match, do not get in. Cancel the trip in the app and select “Driver/car did not match the description.” Bolt’s Safety Team will follow up.
2. Keep your ride on the app
Always start your journey through the Bolt app. Offline rides prevent tracking and remove access to the in-app Safety Toolkit. Your ride is safest when it is fully logged.
3. Share your live location
Use the “share ride details” feature to let friends or family track your live location. They will see the vehicle’s make, model, and registration number in real time, providing extra peace of mind.
4. Explore the Safety Toolkit
Bolt’s in-app Safety Toolkit offers tools for extra security. The Emergency Assist button quickly alerts response teams if you need help. Record Audio captures the trip’s audio for safety purposes and automatically deletes after 24 hours unless a case is raised.
At Bolt, safety is not optional. By following these simple steps, you can enjoy your journey with confidence, knowing that Bolt is constantly working to protect you before, during, and after every ride.
