Retired Judge Silvio Meli Passes Away Aged 72

Retired judge Silvio Meli has passed away today, Monday 7th September, at the age of 72.
Having served first as a magistrate from 1990 to 2001, he became a judge and served until April 2019.
He was also the founding president of the Fair Trade Commission, whilst also lecturing at the University of Malta and abroad. Meli also served in sports administration, working as President of the Aquatic Sports Association.
He is also a published author. His funeral has been announced for Thursday at the Collegiate Church of St George Martyr in Qormi at 8:30am.
