Rescued Hedgehog Nello Released Back Into The Wild

Nature Trust’s wildlife team shared a video of adorable hedgehog Nello, who has been released into the wild after being rescued.

‘Not too long ago, we introduced you to Nello, the curious little hedgehog who stole plenty of hearts during his stay with us’, wrote Nature Trust.

‘After receiving the care he needed and growing stronger every day, the moment we had all been waiting for finally arrived… it was time to go home.’

Nello was provided with Water of Wildlife bowls filled with water to give him access to fresh drinking water as he begins his next adventure.

‘During Malta’s hot summer months, clean water can make a real difference for wildlife. Our Water for Wildlife project helps provide safe drinking spots for hedgehogs, birds, reptiles and many other wild animals during the driest time of the year.’

‘Good luck, Nello. Stay safe, little one.’
