Repeated Pollution In Wied Qirda Reported To ERA, Malta Ranger Unit Confirms
Local
The Malta Ranger Unit (MRU) has found a large amount of pollution in Wied Qirda, Ħaż-Żebbuġ, as a result of cement trucks cleaning their machinery in a nearby facility.
The Environment & Resources Authority (ERA) have been alerted about the issue, with the MRU confirming that the ERA has contacted the company seemingly responsible.
However, numerous sources have told the MRU that this is not the first time such pollution has occurred.
The ERA is being urged to take immediate action and stop the activity until the problem is resolved, with the MRU saying “no other solution is acceptable.”
