Red Weather Warning Issued By CPD Due To Strong Winds

Civil Protection Malta has issued a red weather warning as strong winds are currently battering the Maltese islands.
The warning is set to apply for as long as the strong winds persist until tomorrow 0600hrs.
People are being urged to avoid working from heights, including rooftops, balconies, scaffoldings and exposed structures.
People are also urged to avoid shorelines, breakwaters, and coastal areas due to the strong waves whipped up by the winds. Loose outdoor objects that may be blown away should be secured, and all those driving are urged to take precautions.
