Record Number Of Master’s & PhD Students Graduate From University Of Malta

A record number of postgraduate students are graduating from the University of Malta this March, marking an important milestone for 1,620 Master’s and PhD graduates.
The graduation season began with a Thanksgiving Mass held at St John’s Co-Cathedral on 26 February.
The ceremony, which brought together students, families and university staff, was also streamed live on the University of Malta’s Facebook page.
A total of 18 graduation ceremonies are taking place between 2 March and 12 March to celebrate the achievements of this year’s postgraduate cohort.
Of the 1,620 students graduating, 983 are female and 635 are male, reflecting the largest number of postgraduate graduates in the university’s history.
Among them, 81 students will be awarded doctoral degrees. These include 72 PhDs, one Doctor of Music degree and eight Doctorates in Pharmacy.
During each ceremony, students who excelled in their respective courses are robed before receiving their graduation scroll from the Chancellor, the Rector and the Dean or Director of their faculty, institute, centre or school.
The university is also providing live streaming of the ceremonies through its website and social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, allowing family members and friends to follow the celebrations online.
