Record €11,000 Raised At Annual BBQ In Aid Of Id-Dar Tal-Providenza

A record €11,000 was raised during the annual summer barbecue organised by Pierre Vella Petroni, Anne Marie Xuereb and their family in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. The initiative has been taking place at their home for more than 16 years.

During the event, Mgr Martin Micallef, Director of Id-Dar tal-Providenza, thanked the organisers, volunteers, sponsors and the 150 persons who attended the event.

The funds raised will help Id-Dar tal-Providenza continue providing high-quality residential services to people with disabilities. The organisation requires around 8 million euro per year to cover its operating costs.

According to the organisers: “This event would not have been possible without the invaluable help of family and friends who lent a hand with the logistics and cooking, as well as everyone who attended and the companies that immediately agreed to support this noble cause.”

This year’s event was entertained by popular local artist Kurt Calleja.
