Ramla Bay Resort Announces €400 Company Contribution For TCN Employees & More
Local

Ramla Bay Resort Malta has announced a series of new initiatives aimed at supporting its employees, including a €400 company contribution for third country national (TCN) colleagues following upcoming changes related to work permit costs.

The resort said the measures were introduced after discussions between its owners, Executive Team and employees, as part of its commitment to listening to staff concerns and strengthening employee wellbeing.

From January 2027, TCN employees at Ramla Bay Resort will receive a contribution of up to €400 upon renewal of their work permits to help cover additional expenses associated with the process.

The initiative follows the Government’s Budget 2027 measure increasing work permit fees for non-EU workers.

The resort will also introduce a Service Bonus across all departments to recognise employees’ dedication and contribution to the guest experience.

Another initiative will see the launch of the Ramla Bay Resort Employee Social & Wellbeing Fund, which will be fully financed by the company and support activities focused on employee wellbeing, social support and assistance for colleagues in need.

The resort will also provide support for employees interested in attending Maltese language courses and participating in the I Belong Programme, with the aim of helping colleagues integrate further into Maltese society.

Ramla Bay Resort said the initiatives form part of its “Heart of Gold Culture” and reflect its commitment to creating a workplace based on care, respect and opportunities for growth.

The company acknowledged that the measures will not address every concern but said they represent concrete steps towards supporting the people who contribute to the resort’s daily operations.
