Rainy Showers Are Brewing Around Maltese Islands

Some rather unexpected rough weather is brewing around the Maltese islands, with a weather visual showing rain clouds forming off our shores.

‘Despite generally stable weather being expected, several localised showers are currently developing around the Maltese Islands’, explained Maltese Islands Weather.

‘These showers developed as sufficient atmospheric instability and moisture combined with local factors, a good example of how small, localised showers can develop even when weather models fail to pick them up.’

‘Winds are very light, meaning that these showers are moving very slowly. Where a shower does develop, it may linger over the same area for some time, producing considerably more rainfall than locations just a few kilometres away.’
