Qawra Welcomes Festive Season With Christmas Lights At Pjazza San Pawl

The Christmas season in Qawra has officially begun with the lighting of the festive decorations in Pjazza San Pawl, next to the Malta National Aquarium.
The ceremony was led by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, Dr Ian Borg, together with Carlo Micallef, CEO of the Malta Tourism Authority.

The event marks the start of A Christmas Spectacle, a free festive experience designed for everyone to enjoy, including families, locals and tourists.
This initiative has been made possible through the continued support of the Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Tourism Authority.
Both entities are committed to investing in the improvement of the area and in strengthening the tourism offering throughout the year.
Their work ensures that Qawra remains an appealing destination in every season, with Christmas bringing an added sense of charm and community spirit.
Borg highlighted the importance of the Malta National Aquarium as a leading attraction and noted the ongoing investment that continues to enhance it.

He expressed his satisfaction that the surrounding area has been given a festive makeover, creating an additional destination for those seeking Christmas experiences.
Visitors are encouraged to follow the Malta National Aquarium on social media for updates on upcoming activities throughout the season.
