The Ministry for Social Policy and Children’s Rights is inviting you to the first-ever Qalb it-Tfal event at Park ta’ San Klement in Żabbar on Sunday 23 November, from 10am to 5pm, to celebrate Children’s Day, which falls on 20 November.

The free family festival invites children and their families to enjoy a day filled with fun, creativity, and learning.

All donations collected during the event will go to Fondazzjoni Sebħ, which supports children and families through residential, educational, and therapeutic services.

The event will feature a wide variety of activities. Children can meet Barbra, the mascot of Children’s Rights, take photos at the onsite photo booth, and watch live puppet shows featuring Barbra and Perlina TV characters.

Hands-on workshops such as Glass Expressions and Project Green will encourage children to explore creativity and environmental awareness.

During Project Green, children will plant seeds, care for seedlings, learn about nature, and take home their own plant.

A sensory bench will offer imaginative garden play, and free gifts will be given to children who interact with Project Green staff.

The Young Engineers area will provide interactive STEM learning experiences, while Camp Willingness sessions will promote mindfulness, creativity, and emotional learning.

Yoga sessions will also be held on the main stage.

The Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Directorate will offer resources on nutrition and physical activity, including an educational snakes and ladders game and free leaflets, recipe books, and colouring books. Aerobics sessions for children and parents will take place on the main stage.

Entertainment will run throughout the day with performances from Malta’s Got Talent winners Jomike and Lydon, Junior Eurovision performers Ramires and Elisa Borg, and singers Ryan Hili, Owen Leuellen, Ike and Kaya, and Dawn Desira.

Visitors can also enjoy a roaming Guggen Band, a bubble show, face painting, a bird of prey display, and games by Sedqa and the Office of the Commissioner for Children.

Food, snacks, and drinks will be available on site, making Qalb it-Tfal a lively and family-friendly celebration for all ages.
