Puttinu Cares Telethon Surpasses €1 Million Within First Hours

The annual Puttinu Cares Good Friday telethon has already surpassed the €1 million mark within the first hours of going live, showcasing once again the incredible generosity of the Maltese and Gozitan public.
The telethon, which kicked off earlier today at 9:10am across all local TV stations, sees thousands of viewers calling in to donate and support patients and families facing serious illness abroad.
This year’s fundraising efforts are focused on completing the new Puttinu Cares accommodation project in London, located close to Great Ormond Street Hospital. The new building, expected to be ready by March 2028, will include 29 apartments for Maltese patients receiving treatment overseas.
The strong early total reflects the deep-rooted culture of solidarity in Malta, with donations continuing to pour in as the telethon carries on throughout the day.
Viewers are still encouraged to contribute and be part of the ongoing effort to support Puttinu Cares and the vital work it carries out.
