Pubity Features Malta’s Free Youth Membership

Entertainment and news platform Pubity has just featured Malta’s free gym membership scheme, sharing it with over 41.6 million followers on Instagram.

‘Malta has just made gyms free for everyone aged 16 to 21’, wrote Pubity. ‘Starting in 2026, Malta will introduce a new initiative offering six months of free gym membership to all individuals aged 16 to 21.’

The post even name-dropped Finance Minister Clyde Caruana, writing how this was announced during the 2026 budget announcement.

The scheme was an extension of an initiative introduced last year granting free gym membership for six months to individuals born between 2005 and 2007.

Malta Daily confirmed ahead of Budget 2026 that the scheme would be expanded to those born between 2004 and 2009.
