Prisoner Had Pornographic Footage On Laptop, Says Minister

In a video statement, Minister for Internal Affairs Glenn Bedingfield revealed that the prisoner who was caught using the internet on a laptop he had permission to use broke the rules and had pornographic content on the device.

Bedingfield explained that the prisoner had been granted access to the laptop, but did not have permission to use the internet.

Despite this, he managed to access the internet and further investigations showed that he had a number of pornographic footage on the laptop.

The inquiry has led to a number of recommendations when it comes to prisoner access to devices such as laptops, said the Minister. Regular spot checks will need to be implemented, the board said, so that such incidents are avoided in the future.
