Prime Minister Abela highlighted the opportunities created by the project, saying investments of this scale should be measured not only by their size but also by the employment opportunities they generate. He said the hotel will create hundreds of new jobs across various areas, including catering, hotel administration, entertainment, fitness and specialised services.

The Prime Minister said the project supports Malta’s continued focus on attracting higher-quality tourism. He explained that following growth in tourist arrivals, the country’s next priority is to encourage visitors to stay longer, visit throughout the year and seek more premium experiences.

He also emphasised the importance of economic stability in attracting major investments, stating that Malta’s resilience and clear economic direction provide confidence for businesses and investors.

Referring to Government measures, including subsidies aimed at maintaining stability, Prime Minister Abela said that continued certainty is essential for those planning future investments.

He added that timely decisions and preparation for future challenges remain key to building an economy that supports both families and businesses.
