Prime Minister Robert Abela Meets Carnival Enthusiasts In Valletta

On Monday morning, Prime Minister Robert Abela visited carnival enthusiasts celebrating in Valletta, where he met with participants and organisers taking part in this year’s festivities.
Dr Abela was accompanied by the Minister for Culture, Arts and Local Government, Owen Bonnici.
Together, they engaged with several carnival participants, who proudly showcased their artistic creations, much of which is produced on a voluntary basis to preserve and promote Malta’s long-standing carnival traditions.
While at the Foss ta' San Ġakbu, the Prime Minister acknowledged the significant efforts undertaken by organisers and participants, particularly in the face of weather-related challenges.
Dr Abela praised the dedication of all those involved and thanked both participants and organisers for their commitment to staging activities in the capital, as well as in Floriana, allowing members of the public and visiting tourists to enjoy the celebrations.
He reiterated the Government’s commitment to continuing its support for initiatives that safeguard and strengthen Malta’s cultural heritage.
