Victory Day Wreath-Laying Ceremony in Valletta

A wreath-laying ceremony was held yesterday at Misraħ l-Assedju in Valletta to commemorate Victory Day.
The event was attended by Prime Minister Robert Abela, Speaker of the House of Representatives Anġlu Farrugia, and Robert Cutajar, representative of the Opposition Leader, who all laid wreaths at the Great Siege Monument.
Victory Day commemorates Malta’s successful defence against the Ottoman siege of 1565, a pivotal moment in the island’s history.
