Prime Minister Meets Small Business Owners At Ta’ Qali Crafts Village

Prime Minister Robert Abela visited three small and medium-sized enterprises at the Ta’ Qali Crafts Village, where he met with owners and employees to discuss the government’s ongoing support for businesses and job security. He was accompanied by the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, and the Chief Executive of INDIS Malta, Jean Pierre Attard.

During the visit, the Prime Minister highlighted the commitment and vision of these business owners, who have continued to grow through determination and creativity, even during challenging periods such as the pandemic.
Can You Escape Malta, Julianne Marie Kreattiva Designs and Gemelli Ltd are all beneficiaries of Malta Enterprise schemes and INDIS Malta incentives. These companies demonstrate how Maltese small and medium-sized enterprises are contributing to job creation and sustainable economic growth.

Can You Escape Malta, founded by two university students, has grown into a tourist attraction with five themed escape rooms employing several staff. Julianne Marie Kreattiva Designs combines Maltese culture and identity with modern design, producing scarves, handbags and artistic clothing. Gemelli Ltd, established in 1991, merges traditional craftsmanship with modern technology and supports local artists through the Gemelli Art Gallery.
Prime Minister Abela stated that these enterprises show the potential of Maltese talent when supported. He said the government will continue to encourage innovation, creativity and the creation of quality jobs for SMEs across Malta and Gozo.
