The Labour Party has pledged further support for Malta’s festa culture if re-elected, building on what it described as a €30 million investment that saved 15 musical societies from eviction.

The party said the funding helped secure the future of band clubs that play a central role in Maltese community life and promised that assistance would continue in the next legislature.

Labour added that income generated by these clubs would be reinvested into major projects undertaken by musical societies across the country.

As part of the proposals, Labour also plans to fund renovation and maintenance works at the headquarters of the Għaqda Każini tal-Banda in Floriana, including upgrades to improve the organisation’s administrative operations.

The party further pledged to simplify permit procedures for festa activities and fireworks, while introducing reforms aimed at reducing bureaucracy for voluntary organisations.
