PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES ANOTHER €50,000 DONATION TO PUTTINU CARES

Prime Minister Dr. Robert Abela, together with his wife Dr. Lydia Abela, has presented a €50,000 donation to Puttinu Cares as part of ongoing support for the charity’s projects, including the planned therapeutic centre in London.
The contribution comes from the government’s Social Causes Fund and follows a previous €50,000 donation made yesterday after the Good Friday Night Walk was cancelled due to adverse weather. Together, the two contributions bring the fund’s direct support to €100,000 over the past two days.
Speaking during the marathon, Dr. Abela praised the generosity of the Maltese and Gozitan people, noting that their solidarity “gives from the heart without expecting anything in return.” He encouraged the public to continue donating to support Puttinu Cares, which provides essential assistance to children and families travelling abroad for treatment.
Funds raised this year will contribute to the construction of new apartments in London, providing accommodation for patients and their relatives while receiving medical care.
Those wishing to donate can do so via:
- 5180 2008 – €25
- 5190 2062 – €50
- 5061 9225 – €11.65 by SMS
- 79499423 – BOV / APS
- 2144 1111 – Pledges
