Prime Minister & PL Officials Vote For Party Leadership

Prime Minister Robert Abela, along with his wife Lydia Abela and other Labour Party politicians and officials, submitted their votes yesterday for the leadership race within the party.
The voting, which will take place over two days between Tuesday 30th June and Wednesday 1st July, follows the May General Election, which saw the party securing a historic fourth term.
‘We vote so that with this leadership, we can deliver the best politics for our country’, said Robert Abela in a statement on social media.
The first votes also saw Ian Borg and Alex Agius Saliba submitting their own after the first session of the Extraordinary General Conference, which is mandated to take place after every general election.
This will confirm the party’s leadership, and will come to an end on the 2nd of July.
