Primary School Students Create Crib For Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei

The Year 3 and Year 5 students created a special Crib to be donated to Rainbow Ward, Oncology Centre, at Mater Dei.
Students from GC Kercem Primary School created a special Crib to be gifted to all the children and staff at Rainbow Ward , Oncology Centre, Mater Dei.
The Year 3 and Year 5 students, together with their teachers and a parent, came up with an incredible concept, inspired by the bravery of the patients at Rainbow Ward.
The first part of the Crib is depicts the journey of the Three Kings, symbolising the journey our children experience when passing through challenging times. The second part represents the Nativity, a message of hope and light.
The lighting was inspired by the famous Regent Street lights in London which are close to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
The Regent Street Lights represent the start of the festive season and were turned on yesterday, the same day the Crib’s lights were switched on.
