President Visits Magical Illuminated Trail Ahead Of Friday Opening

The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) is once again supporting the sixth edition of the Magical Illuminated Trail, which will take place at the Verdala Palace Gardens in Buskett from 5 December 2025 to 3 January 2026.
This annual festive attraction remains a highlight of Malta’s winter calendar, transforming the historic gardens into a series of themed worlds designed to offer a magical Christmas experience for visitors of all ages.
The opening visit was accompanied by H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, President of Malta, who praised the event for its contribution to the country’s cultural and charitable landscape.
The trail features immersive installations, including the tranquil Coral Kingdom, the whimsical Alice’s Wonderland, the interactive Magical Forest, and the colourful Candy Land.
Each area provides a unique visual and sensory experience, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable evening for families, residents, and tourists alike.
In addition to the illuminated trail, the event includes a Christmas Village with artisan stalls, seasonal treats, and a welcoming food court, creating a festive space for visitors to relax and explore locally produced crafts.
The event supports the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, meaning participation directly benefits charitable initiatives across the islands.
Dr Charles Mangion, Chairman of the MTA, highlighted that December in Malta showcases the island’s festive spirit, stating that the Authority is proud to support events that bring families together, enhance winter tourism, and foster community enjoyment.
