President To Be Admitted To Hospital For Medical Intervention Today

It was announced that President of Malta Myriam Spiteri Deboni will be admitted to Mater Dei Hospital today, Saturday 15th November 2025, for a medical intervention.
The medical intervention, a statement revealed, involves the administration of general anaesthesia.
‘The President will be unable to fulfil her duties on Saturday 15th November 2025. During this period, Dr Helena Dalli will be assuming the office of Acting President of the Republic.’
